Report Options - customizing the reportThe Report Options control what is printed in the report. The Report Options are displayed on the 2nd page of the print wizard. You can also access the Report Options by clicking on the Tools menu, then clicking on Open User [name] Options... and switching to the Report Options tab.
Report Options - Report display nameThis is the name that is printed at the top of each page. It defaults to your username, but can be changed if you wish. For example if you have used your first name as your username, you can enter your full name here and your full name will be printed. Report Options - Chart SettingsThe chart is printed first in the report and plots your peak flow readings. In this section of the Report Options window you can change:
Report Options - Averages SettingsThe Averages table lists a number of statistics about your peak flow readings. Each row contains a different group of readings. By default, four rows are included; 1/ All your readings, 2/ Readings taken in the last 30 days, 3/ All your readings taken in the AM, and 4/ All your readings in the PM. You can add more averages or edit the existing averages by clicking on the Open Averages Tools button. Click here for more information on the Averages Tool. Each cell in the averages table contains two statistics with the format Arithmetic Mean (Standard Deviation). The arithmetic mean is more commonly known as the average, and the standard deviation is a measure of the spread of the readings. Report Options - Notes SettingsThe report can optionally contain an extra section containing any text you wish to enter. Common uses for this is information such as a medication list, doctor contact information, etc ... however you can enter whatever you like. The notes you enter are saved so that the next time you print a diary or a report you do not need to re-enter the information. To edit the notes click on the Edit Notes button. Report Options - Table SettingsThe table lists your peak flow readings and asthma symptoms with the most recent reading at the top of the table. Each row contains the date and time of the reading, the peak flow reading, the percentage this reading is of your best reading, asthma symptoms (activity effect, cough, wheeze, shortness of breath, chest tightness), whether any extra medicine was used, and any notes you made. In this section of the Report Options you can change the date range of the table by clicking on the Change button. Choose either a period of time (back from the last entered reading), or a specific a start and end date. Preview the documentThe last page of the Print Wizard is a preview of the printed document.
